Discover National Parks Fortnight

April 2019

Join us in celebrating all that is special about the magnificent Lake District National Park.

With all our current developments conveniently placed right on the edge of the awe-inspiring Lake District National Park you will never be far away from your own next outdoor adventure.

New for 2019, Discover National Parks Fortnight, formerly National Parks Week, champions all that is unique and special about National Parks.  Moving to Spring and opportunely falling at the same time as the UK Easter school holidays, the festival provides a perfect reason to put on your wellies and go out exploring.

Offering a breath-taking landscape of rugged fells, tranquil glacial lakes and charming rural villages the Lake District delivers some fantastic opportunities to discover one of the UK’s 15 National Parks.

Boasting some of the highest mountains in England, take to the hills and experience some of Britain’s best fell walks. Get involved in one of the many water sport activities out on the lakes or simply relax on the shore. If getting active isn’t your thing, why not gently meander through one of the picturesque villages located throughout the Park, and of course, don’t forget to stop and sample some wonderful home-grown produce at one of the many local eateries.

The Lake District National Park is the largest in the UK covering 912 square miles and is now a World Heritage Site.  With any number of things to do and places to visit why not take a look at the official Lake District National Park website for some inspiration. www.lakedistrict.gov.uk

From our home to yours, happy exploring!
