An Invitation to Celebrate

It’s been another fabulous year for Willan Living and New Year’s Eve brings an ideal moment to recollect some milestones from 2021. Most importantly while looking back we stay thankful for the opportunities received and grateful for everybody’s help along the way.

Rewind to January when we were preparing to launch phase two at Hall Farm, Langwathby. The whole country was in national lockdown, some of us were working from home and the world faced a great deal of uncertainty. After much consideration we went ahead with the launch, and it was taken wonderfully.

At the beginning of March, the 2021 Budget was delivered in the House of Commons which generated welcome possibilities for anyone looking to move home this year. Not long after the announcement any available plots at Hall Farm were sold subject to contract. With all twenty-four units at the site being reserved in little over eight months from first marketing.

The month of May saw one of Willan’s biggest accomplishments when a staggering twelve properties were handed over at Hall Farm within a brief twenty-four-hour period. The construction team worked unwaveringly to effectively deliver fourteen homes on target. While office staff enthusiastically supported the administration and legal processes involved. Not forgetting the many other Cumbrian businesses who contributed to the site’s success.

In July we were delighted to receive the Bricks Site Recognition Award for high standards of construction and site management. We also started searching for a Sales Executive to join our growing family team and welcomed a new Site Supervisor.

A month later the location of the next Willan Living development was revealed; Otters Holt, Culgaith. Sales particulars, schedules and specifications were scrutinised ahead of the first phase going on sale. Then at the beginning of November plots went live on Rightmove as we began solely advertising our own homes for the very first time.

With a positive amount of interest in the new location an encouraging number of reservations have already been made. Despite winter conditions, everyone who works on-site pull together creating a buzzing atmosphere. Meanwhile things are all wrapped up at Langwathby as the final lots of customers recently moved into their beautiful newly built houses.

Throughout 2022 we hope to continue along a similar path of progress and prosperity. Plans to acquire fresh development land are underway. Relationships with trusted local suppliers, trades and professionals intend to be upheld. All whilst striving to build better, meaningful connections with our customers, adopt modern digitalisations and foster a greener built environment.
