We are a family run developer based in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. From acquisition and build, to sales and aftercare, we design and build quality homes in carefully selected locations for modern living.
Every Willan development is considerate of the land it occupies. The homes are generous with both space and quality of finish and we are focussed on developing thriving communities that stand the test of time. Shaping spaces where people can live their best lives.
We are passionate about the area we live and the homes we develop and with five family members now fully on board, we continue to work alongside our team of skilled local tradespeople and other Cumbrian businesses, together building solid foundations for future generations to come.
From an early age, Jonathan has been building things and so his move to the family business was an obvious one. He started working for Willan Living back when it all began, and his work ethic and people-focused approach to development has allowed him to naturally work his way up to becoming MD of the company.
If you’ve met Natasha, then you’ll have come to realise that she likes things just so. She really enjoys reading and learning new skills and always asks lots of questions. She started working for the company in its earlier days picking kitchen and bathroom finishes, and lending a hand wherever needed. Her detailed orientated approach has allowed her to work her way to becoming Head of Brand and Business Development at Willan Living.
Stephen has always been a part of the family businesses since his days working on the family’s Cumbrian farms and livestock auctions over the pond in Canada. His worldly experience has shaped his role at Willan Living where he works in the office as one of the companies directors. He enjoys walking and cycling and spends his weekends exploring the local landscape.
Jamie really enjoys the technical aspects that come with building and has an eye for design. In his spare time, you’re most likely to find him in his workshop crafting pieces of furniture and practicing his expertise. He started work as an apprentice joiner and moved up through the roles of joiner then head joiner and site manager before becoming Head of Construction at Willan Living.
Joshua has always been involved in family businesses from his parent’s local butchers to working for a large multi-industry family-run firm. He likes the operational side of things and takes joy in seeing a whole project come together from the structure to the people who create and use it. His operational skills and family-orientated approach have helped him fulfil the role of Project Manager at Willan Living.
Gary has years of experience of running building sites of all shapes and sizes. He is naturally a really organised person, so takes great pride in keeping Willan Living’s sites neat and tidy. His high standards haven’t gone unnoticed, and he has received several awards for his overall site management, including health and safety matters and general tidiness.
Jay started out as a labourer for Willan Living and went on to develop his skills as a bricklayer. In recent years his determination and hands-on approach has allowed him to fulfil the role of Site Supervisor. He loves the outdoors and takes being on-site in all weather conditions in his stride. On his lunch break, you might find him exercising his well-trained dogs who regularly accompany him to work.
Andy has worked in construction for many years and operates the telehandler at Willan Living. He takes great pride in his work and thoroughly maintains all his tools and machinery. He is up for a laugh and his friendly laid-back nature makes him a fun person to be around on site. He likes to get stuck in and is always happy to help out.
